US Shareholders File Another Claim Against Yukos
The U.S. shareholders of Russia’s largest oil exporter Yukos Oil Company have filed another claim against the company and its management. This is a sixth such claim, RIA Novosti reported. The claim was submitted by Charles J. Piven law firm to the Southern District Court of New York.
The law firm represents those U.S. shareholders who bought Yukos shares in form of American Depositary Receipts in the period between February 13 and October 25, 2004, and who know claim they have incurred losses because Yukos’ management failed to disclose information about possible tax claims from the government.
Earlier, as MosNews reported already, similar claims were already filed by Murray, Frank & Sailer, Lerach Coughlin Stoia & Robbins, Schatz & Nobel, Scott+Scott and Schiffrin & Barroway law firms.
